Abstract: The main object of L.A. Gurchenko is an attempt clarifying the problem set by B.A. Rybakov of the historical content of identity of the Kiev prince Kiy and the Byzantine stratigue of the end of the first half of the 6th century Hilbud. And clarifying the authenticity of the meaning of the name of the Belarusian traditional spring festival «Komoeditsa» as a bear celebration. Rybakov confirmed this opinion by a reference to the Greek language, but some researchers consider that he had no grounds for such theory. With the purpose of substantiating of identity of Kiy with Hilbud, he applied a reconstruction of the name «Kiy» in the form of «Kiybud», with the use of a citation on Kiev in the Armenian chronicle of the 6th – 8th century «The History of Taron» by Zenob Gluck, who could essentially rely on reality, calling Kiy as the Sun – Quar. The second part of the Kiy’s name – «bud» – means «awakening» – is secret according to the Slavic tradition, and indirectly is based on the attributes of the sun. The researcher referenced to the epitaph of Hilbud tombstone of the 6th century in Fanar, a district of Constantinople. And to clarify the meaning of the festival «Komoeditsa» the alias and epithets of the bear in Greek and Slavic languages are used. As a result, Gurchenko believes that it became possible to conclude that the Rybakov’s hypotheses are full-value.

Гераклит жил в той жизни, когда человека мыслили сыном тяжёлой Земли и звёздного Неба, он покинул свет Солнца за 2400 лет прежде нынешнего человечества – одноглазых сынов Земли, не способных смотреть в оба. Тогда знали, что смерть – возмездие за дела отнюдь не праведные, что после смерти станешь богом вместо смертного, но по закону. Так писали на золотых пластинках погребаемому. И нацарапывали на костяных пластинках для понимающих: ЖИЗНЬ – СМЕРТЬ – ЖИЗНЬ = ИСТИНА [3, c. 44–46].
