Chloe looks into the water and then looks at me.
«Tim, this monster looks just like you. It is white and its ears are brown.»
«You are right,» I say. «Chloe, look at that monster! It is red and fluffy. It is you!»
«If there are no monsters in the lake,» says Mrs Squirrel, «I can take my beautiful nut.»
«Where is it?» I ask.
«Over there,» answers Mrs Squirrel, pointing to the water.
I help Mrs Squirrel to get her big brown nut out of the lake. She is very happy. And we are not afraid of monsters any more.

Chapter IV
Today Jack goes to the town. We want to go with him. But Jack says we are too small. Chloe is sad. She wants to see the town. Jack wants to sell his harvest there. We have got a lot of fruit and vegetables. Our horse, Punch, is sad too because Jack has got a van now. It is old and blue. The van is faster than Punch. Jack also has got a new tractor. It is big and red. The tractor is stronger than Punch. That’s why Punch is sad. He wants to be helpful.
We put many boxes in the van. The first box is full of crisp carrots. The second box is full of big potatoes. The third box is full of long cucumbers. The fourth box is full of round cabbages. The fifth box is full of small tomatoes. The sixth box is full of bitter onions. The seventh box is full of sweet strawberries. The eighth box is full of sour cherries. The ninth box is full of the juicy raspberries. And the tenth box is full of green parsley. Chloe and I get in the van and hide between the boxes. We are going to the town!
