Look at the words in bold.
1.Do they have tenses (For example: the Present Simple or the Past Continuous, etc.)?
2.Are they verbs?
3.Are they actions?
Look at their structure: join+ing, leave + ing, book+ing.
To form them we need:
verb + ing.
This structure is called gerund.
Look at these structures from the letter:
for joining/leaving
for flight booking
We use gerund form after prepositions.
for joining /leaving

Think of your own examples for gerund. Write sentences with:

Обратите внимание на слова выше, выделенные жирным шрифтом. Они образуются так:
глагол (например: join (присоединяться), book (бронировать) + ing. При это они не про настоящее, прошлое, будущее времена. Это конструкция носит название герундий.
Есть несколько ключевых правил (для морской переписки), когда ставить герундий, а не глагол.
– После предлогов (например: on, in, for, at, etc.). Любых предлогов, не только тех, которые в скобках. В письме выше как раз этот случай: for leaving, for booking. «For» предлог, поэтому leave + ing, book + ing.
